This classic antique Newport lowboy has a molded overhanging top with in-curved front corners. The case has one long top drawer and three short drawers, all with original brass pulls above a dramatically shaped skirt joining delicate cabriole legs with pad feet. The distinctively shaped apron is a form commonly associated with the cabinet shops of Newport and in this antique lowboy, most specifically that of Christopher Townsend.
