This handsome bracket clock is signed with the name of this rare clockmaker John Crowley. The clock is in wonderful condition in a pleasing case with a mellow old surface. Crowley was active in Philadelphia producing bracket and shelf clocks from circa 1803-1823. Bracket clocks signed with American maker's name and locale are extremely uncommon, this clock is signed “John Crowley / Philada”.
